King Django / P-Dub / The Snails / The Screw-Ups
KING DJANGO - www.kingdjango.com King Django was the founder and leader of both Stubborn All-Stars and Skinnerbox and sideman for the Slackers, The Toasters, Rancid and Murphy's Law, and has been running the influential Stubborn Records and Version City labels since 1992. As recently highlighted in the popular indie documentary "Brooklyn Rocksteady," Django assembled the Version City recording studio in 1997, which rapidly became the hub of the NYC ska and reggae scene. Django has recently returned from a trip to Kingston, Jamaica where he was invited to perform at the Institute of Jamaica's Music Museum, taking the stage with reggae luminaries Mystic Revelation of Rastafari, Ras Michael, Big Youth, and Junior Reid.
P-DUB - http://www.dubonline.net/ P-Dub and his band Predator Dub Assassins, have developed a unique brand of reggae music fusing classic Caribbean elements with contemporary international sounds. They have released 7 full length albums and have made appearances and supplied music for popular TV programs on CBS, A&E, and the Food and Fuel TV networks. As a reggae artist, songwriter and producer, P-Dub has worked with a diverse range of artists including: Akon, Twista, Trina, Pharoahe Monch, French Montana, Maxi Priest, Buju Banton, Ace Hood and others while appearing on some of the same albums as pop icons Lady Gaga, P-Diddy, and Nicki Minaj.
THE SNAILS - http://thesnailsband.bandcamp.com/ The Snails are an eclectic act specializing in various forms of Jamaican music, blended with ragged 50's rock 'n' roll and the sweet sounds of American soul. The band is fronted by Todd Fausnacht on lead guitar, complemented by Tim Hildebrand on rhythm guitar. The driving beats spring from the rhythm section comprised of Josh Parry on drums, Ben Parry on bass, and Kyle Williams on organ. Though Fausnacht's vocals lead the group, it is not uncommon for the voices of all five members to come together in cascading harmony.
THE SCREW-UPS - http://www.screwupsband.bandcamp.com/ The Screw-Ups are a four-man Ska/Reggae/Punk band out of Newtown, CT and Boston, MA. Playing music together since high school, they now play shows all over New England. Citing influences like The Slackers, The Aggrolites, Stevie Wonder, Toots and the Maytals, Sublime, and RHCP, The Screw-Ups have continued on to form a solid sound and play a diverse array of original and cover material.
