Thoroughly Modern Millie
It's the roaring 20's and ladies' hairdos, like their skirts, are getting shorter. Fresh off the train from Kansas, Millie Dillmount, a self-professed "modern," has come to New York City to seek her fortune or, more truthfully, a wealthy husband. What she finds is the stuff of which only musical comedies are made. Filled with frisky flappers, dashing leading men and a dragon lady villainess. Adapted from the celebrated motion picture, this 2002 multi-Tony Award winner is a shining example of the best of old and new Broadway.
