Tour of the Japanese Galleries at the Metropolitan Museum of Art with Tally Beck
The Metropolitan Museum of Art* has an extensive collection of Japanese art from every era of the its history. Tally Beck Contemporary art gallery director and art historian Tally Beck will give a guided, small-group tour of these galleries and, as an added bonus, the temporary exhibition, "The Flowering of Edo Period Painting: Japanese Masterworks from the Feinberg Collection".
We will meet at 6:45, and the tour will last until approximately 8:30. After the tour, guests will have the option of joining Tally Beck for dinner in the Members' Dining Room at the Met.** The Members' Dining Room overlooks Cleopatra's Needle and Central Park and features contemporary American cuisine. After dinner, guests will have the unique experience of enjoying large sections of the museum after hours when the museum is closed to public.
