***

skin deep an hymn to eros (SCR/DIR Angelina Voskopoulos. GREECE, 2016, color, 07:16. Fable.) Some words overwhelm you like an alien spirit and you surrender.... Its the words. Commonplace words making up uncommon sentences, strange words carrying an unutterable weight, words set one after the other so as to create images, feelings, little lights illuminating wide streets. And then theres also the magic. That inexplicable magic of some peoples words that you know to be right upon hearing them, you know them to be yet another key to one of many doors.

***

We Are Not There Tomorrow (SCR/DIR Olga Kyszewicz, POLAND, 2022, black and white, 8:00. Animation.) Sometimes we meet someone who is able to change our perception. This is the situation that happens for the films characters when they unexpectedly meet. (US Premiere)

***

The Sphere (SCR/DIR Manuel umberac, CROATIA/SWITZERLAND, 2022, color, 13:00. Animation, Drama). A shift in routine disrupts the harmony between Io and the Sphere, destroying their coexistence with a new, different reality, rules and routine. Through the infinite cycle fragment shown I explore the relationship between individual and system, the interconnectedness, codependence and interdependence of beings and phenomena. I aim to depict poetically the deviation from established rules that causes harmony to be replaced by disorder in which the whole is broken down to basic elements. (US Premiere)

***

Warsaw Music (SCR/DIR Maja Baczynska. POLAND, 2015, color, 31:00. Experimental.) A poetic documentary inspired by Warsaw Suite 1946 (director Tadeusz Makarczyski, music: Witold Lutosawski), and showing Warsaw from a modern perspective, with modern music soundtrack and presenting the future city of Warsaw in an era of spaceships and advanced technology. (US Premiere)
