2023 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Masquerade Ball
We invite you to be a part the d Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Masquerade Ball to be held at Bellingham Yacht Club 2625 S Harbor Loop Dr, on January 14th, 2023, from Doors opening at 6:45pm.
Taken from a message that Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. gave at Mason Temple in Memphis, Tennessee, on April 3, 1968, the theme of this year's ball is Celebrate Yourself Like Never Before. During his final public appearance before his tragic assassination the next day, Dr. King encouraged folks to: Put yourself in a state of mind where you say to yourself, 'Here is an opportunity to celebrate like never before my own power and my own ability to get myself to do whatever is necessary.
We are coming together to celebrate in honor of him and organizations and individuals in the Bellingham community who keep the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. dream alive...the dream that this country could attain only by working together and acknowledging our shared history: ideals of equity, freedom, and self-determination.
