Pasión Flamenca: Spain's Cultural Treasure
On Saturday March 1 at 7:30 we will present Pasión Flamenca in an evening of music from Spain. The art of Flamenco encompasses music, poetry, song, and dance. Vocalist Rachel "La Mala" Milloy, guitarist Scott Mateo Davies, the core members of Flamenco Mateo with an exciting team of musicians and dancers will explore the roots and current trends of this vibrant art form, including Sephardic Jewish romanceros, Roma-Gypsy music and Andalusian Muwhashahat of North Africa Arabic music. They will be joined by multi-talented percussionist Terrence Karn of Houston's Gypsy Dance Theater, highlighting the unique rhythms of Spain's artistic gift to the world. Don't miss this passionate performance!

UPDATED PERFORMER LIST!!!
In addition to the headliners Rachel "La Mala" Milloy and Scott Mateo Davies, featured musicians include multi-talented percussionists Terrence Karn (of Houston's Gypsy Dance Theater) and Tim O'Keefe; violinists Laura Harada, Wendy Tangen-Foster, and David Stenshoel; pianist Jarrod Wendland and saxophonist Ward Davies; qanun player Miriam Gerberg, bassist Peter Susag; and Stefon "Bionik" Taylor performing "live production".
