Beer & Pizza: A Love Worth Celebrating
Dimo's Pizza and Greenbush Brewing are collaborating to present "Beer and Pizza: A Love Worth Celebrating," an all-you-can-drink-and-eat craft beer and pizza event. The ticketed Anti-Valentine's Day themed event will take place at Dimo's Wicker Park, located at 1615 N. Damen Avenue, from 7:00 9:00pm on February 13th.
Attendees will enjoy a suggested pairing menu of five original Dimo's slices and matching Greenbush craft brews, named for the many emotions that come with any great love story. The selection of slices will feature special dough made using Greenbush yeast, giving the pizzas a beer-infused flavor. The event will also officially debut a limited-release Dimo's-inspired Mango IPA beer named "Regret" and brewed at the Greenbush Brewery in Sawyer, Michigan.
Tasting Menu:
Closure // american pale ale, 6% ABV, 40 ibu.
Resentment // macaroni, chipotle peppers, hot pepper cheese
Retribution // belgian-style ale, 8.3% ABV, 28 ibu.
Mercy // rutabiya lamb, datess, pine nuts, ras el hanout
Regret // mango IPA
Pride // braised pork belly, soy citrus glaze, pickled radishes, blistered chilies
Anger // black IPA, 7.6% ABV, 85 ibu.
Ecstasy // coffee-infused jerk chicken, fennel, pineapple
Pain // imperial cream stout, 11.2% ABV, 78 ibu.
Pleasure // cherry sauce, candied cocao nibs, whipped ricotta
Tickets can be purchased in advance for $35 on this event page or for $40 at the door on the day of the event. Upon entry, attendees will be handed a pizza and beer pairing menu, along with a commemorative 6oz. tasting glass. They will spend the next two hours tasting different craft beers and pizza slices while a DJ spins records and romantic movie clips are projected onto the walls. There is a cut off of seventy-five attendees for this event, so interested persons should purchase tickets early on the Brown Paper Tickets event page to ensure a spot on the guest list.
