50th Annual Civic Awards
The Municipal League is honoring eight individuals and three organizations to receive its 50th Annual Civic Awards for outstanding contributions to the community. Come mingle with the awardees, elected and public officials, community leaders and supporters of good government at the Seattle Art Museum on March 25th. The 2009 awardees are:
* Cary Moon (People's Waterfront Coalition) - Citizen of the Year
* Ava Frisinger (Mayor, City of Issaquah) - Public Official of the Year
* Allen Church (Fire Chief/Administrator, South King Fire & Rescue) - Public Employee of the Year
* Force 10 Hoops LLC (Owner of the Seattle Storm) - Business of the Year
* Seattle Works - Organization of the Year
* Joni Earl (CEO, Sound Transit) and Mayor Greg Nickels (Chair, Sound Transit Board of Directors) - James R. Ellis Regional Leadership
* Brice Maryman (Open Space Seattle 2100) - Doug Mason Memorial
* The Evans School of Public Affairs at the University of Washington - Warren G. Magnuson Memorial
* Bruce D. Carter and Norma Jean Hanson - Mary Skelton Memorial Volunteer
The Civic Awards ceremony is a cocktail mixer with passed hors d'ouevres and light buffet. This is a great opportunity to mix and mingle with other League supporters. All guests will receive a dessert gift bag at the end of the evening.
$60 League Members / $70 General Admission General Admission includes a Municipal League Membership for 2009!
Ticket price includes, beer, wine, passed hors d'ouevres and a dessert gift bag at the end of the evening.
