Theatre's Edge is a new theatre arts venture in Goshen, Indiana under the artistic direction of Marilyn Mason. The goal of Theatre's Edge is to bring thought provoking theatre productions on a small scale to the Goshen Community. Theatre's Edge is proud to present The Last Five Years as their first production.
Written by Jason Robert Brown, The Last Five Years is an emotionally powerful and intimate musical about two New Yorkers in their twenties who fall in and out of love over the course of five years, the show's unconventional structure consists of Cathy telling her story backwards while Jamie tells his story chronologically; the two characters only meet once, at their wedding in the middle of the show.
Featuring a two-person cast, Cathy is played by Katie Miller O'Leary of Goshen, IN and Jamie is played by Derek Self of Des Moines, IA. The Last Five Years is a challenging opportunity for actors to showcase both their range and their stamina.
This intimate musical is perfect for The CHOUSE venue at 211 E Washington Street in Goshen. We thank Kevin Koch for the use of this unique space.
Due to language and subject matter this production should be considered PG 17.
