The Mask that Reveals (Michael Dias) 10am-11am
Unleash the character inside that's bursting to get out. Find the mask that speaks to you, and spend an hour unearthing its spirit. In this creative playground, participants will learn to use isolation and mask techniques to develop a 3-dimensional mask character while engaging with this ancient artform.

A Mime is a Clown is an Actor is a Mime! (James Donlon) 11am-12pm
Discover the fundamentals of Neo-classic Mime taught by master teacher James Donlon. Explore gesture, energy, form, improvisation, and poetic illusion through introductory exercises inspired by James 52 years of international performance and teaching.

Movement Improvisation (Alina Cenal & Therese Schorn) 1pm-2pm
Trusting immediate impulses while expressing through the body.

Mime: The Language of Clowns (Karen Hoyer) 2pm-3pm
Mime trains the body to be an articulate instrument making clear choices, playing with space and time, movement and stillness, working with the audiences imagination to create stories, characters, and specific places and objects. The clown uses these skills in an exaggerated way, creating an empathetic connection with the audience. This class will explore character, gestures, and mime with props.
