SitW 2022 Season: Coriolanus
From Director, Elizabeth Dinkova (she/her): "How do we put an end to mans insatiable hunger
for sustenance, resources, power?
Is overconsumption a mans problem?
Can a woman's defiant vulnerability penetrate
the greed of the politicians
the fickleness of the masses
the rigidity of the military
to awaken our shared humanity?
Amidst the dregs of empire, the displaced widows and daughters of Rome reconstruct the past to build a better future. They tell the story of the war hero Coriolanus, a pawn in others political machinations, whose anger shatters the veneer of civility, plunges the republic into chaos, and creates the potential for a new world order."

All performances to be held on the lawn at Northshire Civic Center - Riley Rink at Hunter Park, 410 Hunter Park Rd, Manchester Center, VT 05255. Rain or shine.
*Please note: Seating for Shakespeare in the Woods will be full capacity at our outdoor performance lawn. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination by the date of attendance are required to attend performances to ensure the safety and wellbeing of performers and community members alike.
