Nova Blazej
Senior Project Manager, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Pacific Southwest Region 9

Ignacio Dayrit
Program Director with CCLR

Topic Description:
Brownfields Update: Join PEMA on May 24th to learn about funding, technical assistance, overburdened communities, social and environmental challenges.

The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act is delivering the single- largest investment in U.S. brownfields infrastructure ever. The Infrastructure Law invests more than $1.5 billion through EPAs highly successful Brownfields Program. The investment will transform countless lives and spur life-changing revitalization in communities large and small, urban, and rural; all with the same desire to keep their neighborhoods healthy, sustainable and reflective of the people who call it home. Environmental Justice is a key component of Brownfields programs and projects.

Please join PEMA for this exciting presentation to learn about State and Federal priorities, how these priorities touch brownfields reuse, current grant programs and services needed by local government and non-profits.

This is your opportunity to learn how to get involved in bettering our communities and to learn more about funding, how it will be distributed and how our professional environmental community can be involved from grant applications through environmental remediation, including creative ideas for site investigation and cleanup.
