Dads Count Fatherhood Breakfast & Awards Ceremony
The seventh Dads Count breakfast will take place on Friday, April 17, 2009, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the Crowne Plaza San Francisco International Airport in Burlingame, CA. The event is sponsored by the government, legal and business communities of San Mateo County, in conjunction with the Fatherhood Collaborative of San Mateo County. The Fatherhood Collaborative is an Advisory Committee to the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors and consists of organizations and individuals dedicated to supporting fathers in taking an active role in the lives of children and families.
Assembly Member Jerry Hill will be the Master of Ceremonies of this unique event that seeks to accomplish the following objectives:
X to publicly recognize the importance of men as fathers, grandfathers, and mentors to children,
X to gain support from the business, legal and government communities for fatherhood efforts,
X to gain visibility and support for the Fatherhood Collaborative and its efforts,
X to recognize father friendly businesses, and
X to provide an opportunity for networking around fatherhood activities in the county.
The keynote speaker will be Justice Alan C. Page, husband and father of four. Justice Page is deservedly renowned, not only for his long football career, including induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but for his current position as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Minnesota. We are truly honored that Justice Page has agreed to speak at our event.
Sponsorships are available, and may be charged if they are for $1501 and above. A sponsorship for $1501 to $3000 will receive two (2) tickets to the event; a sponsorship of $3001 to $5000 will receive five (5) tickets; a sponsorship of $5001 and above will receive 10 tickets.
