Eric Larson Endowment Benefit Concert
Join us on Saturday, May 21st, 2022 for a concert and show to benefit the Eric Larson Endowment at the University of New Mexico. The UNM Foundation is a 501c3 organization. Your ticket purchase is tax deductible.
The show begins at 7:00 PM and will feature performances by The Michael Anthony/Paul Gonzales Jazz Quartet, Mister Kali featuring Joseph General, Grammy Award winner Larry Mitchell featuring John Kurzweg and New Mexico's favorite Latin band, Nosotros.
During the evening we will also present the New Mexico Music Awards Eric Larson Lifetime Achievement Award for 2022.
The Eric Larson Endowment was established in 2005 to honor the memory of New Mexico Music Awards co-founder Eric Larson. The Endowment provides one scholarship each year for a junior or senior student studying music who maintains a 3.0 GPA.
Tickets are $35.00 and the proceeds benefit the Eric Larson Endowment.
About the artists: Guitarist Michael Anthony is a second generation Wrecking Crew studio musician and has recorded with Quincy Jones, Frank Sinatra and other legends. His film work runs the gamut from James Bond to Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
Mister Kali and Joseph General comprise the two most popular reggae artist in New Mexico and have been performing here for decades.
Guitarist Larry Mitchell is a Grammy winning producer and and songwriter. He brings a first rate quartet that includes Platinum Award winning songwriter and producer John Kurzweg (Creed, Puddle of Mudd, Nickelback) The two together are incredible.
Nosotros is celebrating its 30th year together as a band. Formed in Las Cruces and now based in Santa Fe and Albuquerque, the band has 11+ albums to their credit.
All of our performers for the evening are multiple New Mexico Music Award winners and have accolades both nationally and internationally as well.
