Hemorrhage: An Ablution of Hope and Despair
Due to popular - Hemorrhage has been EXTENDED!
Two shows have been added!!
Thurs, Feb 13 and Sat, Feb 15 have just been added to the run.
Dance Brigade presents its latest dance-drama installation. Directed and conceived by Krissy Keefer, Hemorrhage captures the current crisis of world affairs by focusing on the connection between global warming, war, racism and the continued attack on the rights of women. Using the back drop of the Mission District and the onslaught of evictions, Keefer will explore the connection of the these current events via her hair trigger analysis. Dance Brigade is known for the way it uses modern dance, storytelling, and Taiko drumming to create a compelling narrative. Honed of the company's 37-year history, the all-female cast uses strong theatrics, humor and compelling original text to explore today's political and social situation, while also employing contemporary dance forms such as hip hop, house and reggaeton.
