RING OF DESIRE - Lucky Sevens Film Challenge Screening Benefitting BurlyCares
An ancient ring which renders power over whomever wears it has come back and wreaks havoc on a small town. Fortunately, the original possessor's descendant recognizes the power and helps a vacationing couple devise a plan to get the ring back to its rightful place.
RING OF DESIRE is the debut for director Ronnie Nanos, one of LUCKY SEVEN FILM CHALLENGE Executive Producers and donars. It was released and distributed in Nov 2021 by Summerhill Films . This charitable event is for the Vegas Film and Burlesque Communities to see it once more on the silver screen.
This is red carpet and benefit where 100% of all tickets sold go to BurlyCares.
BurlyCares is a Nevada 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide advocacy, case management, assistance with meeting the needs for basic life necessities and decrease isolation/loneliness to the population of senior Legend burlesque and variety show performance artists. BurlyCares also raises money to provide this population with donations for basic life necessities, medical care, medical equipment and medical supplies.
Elevator Pitch - BurlyCares provides community case management services, decreases isolation and provides advocacy to the population of senior Legend burlesque and variety show performers. (Variety show performers genres we include are magicians, circus artists, drag queen performance artists, cabaret and burlesque performance artists).
What has BurlyCares done so far? BurlyCares has been in existence since 2018 and since then we have helped over 68 clients. We have done several successful fundraisers for clients in need of basic life necessities and end of life private care, provided medical equipment to several clients, provided donated furniture to clients, advocated and was able to connect many clients with community programs they qualify for, advocate for affordable housing for our clients as well and provide basic needs crisis intervention. We see over 13 clients regularly with home visits and communicate with over 45 clients on a regular basis. We strive to decrease isolation and loneliness within the population of people we serve.
The director Ronnie Nanos being a burlesque performer and producer wanted to give back to his community of artists who are featured in his film RING OF Desire as well as his next feature DEATHCLUB which will have its first trailer released at this screening . We will also announce the details for the upcoming LIVE Las Vegas show SPEAKEASY 2022 !
