"Born Fat"
Award Winning CT playwright Jacques Lamarre brings his play "Born Fat" to HartBeat's Happy Hour Play Reading Series on Tuesday December 10th, 2013. Food and drink will be served starting at 5:00pm with hors devours provided by Laetus Restaurant and Lounge. The reading will begin at 6:00pm. HartBeat Co-Artistic Director Steven Raider-Ginsburg will direct ensemble member Debra Walsh in this one-woman show.
Born Fat, based on Elizabeth Petruccine's book "You Were Born Fat," is a new comedy about one woman's battles with body image, the obesity epidemic and skinny jeans.
HartBeat's Happy Hour Play Reading Series is curated by HartBeat Ensemble's Co-Artistic Directors, Steven Raider-Ginsburg and Julia B. Rosenblatt and takes place at the Carriage House Theater, 360 Farmington Avenue, Hartford, CT. The First Reads portion of the series includes new works that have not been produced in our Greater Hartford community.
