Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (Group Special)
Theatre Incognita is proud to announce an encore presentation of The Homecoming Players production of Edward Albee's "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?"
For three days this December, theater-goers can once again catch the acclaimed production. Returning from last August's mounting are all four cast members: Gary Weissbrot as George, Kristin Sad as Martha, Nick Shuhan as Nick, and Helen T. Clark as Honey. Ross Haarstad also returns as director.
Performances take place Fri & Sat Dec 13 & 14 at 7pm and Sun Dec 15 at 2 pm at Ithaca's Hangar Theatre in Cass Park. All tickets are just $20.
In the spirit of the season, all profits from the show will be shared between four local human service agencies: Planned Parenthood of the Southern Finger Lakes, the Tompkins County SPCA, Tompkins Learning Partners, and Hospicare and Palliative Services of Tompkins County.
This acerbic, hilarious and shattering journey into the battlefields of marriage and academia has last none of its sharp edge in the 50 years since it first blazed onto Broadway and into the American psyche. George and Martha throw a late night party for new hotshot faculty member Nick and his wife Honey at a small northeastern liberal arts college. Martha likes sex, booze and put-downs of George; George likes scheming and games. Watch out Nick and Martha.
