Puget Sound ASHRAE December TAC Meeting
Please join Puget Sound ASHRAE at the Seattle Central Library for a presentation on e-Quest energy modeling software. Gaurav Mehta of Stantec will work through a live model demonstrating the applications, strengths and best practices of e-Quest. This is a great opportunity to learn the ins-and-outs of the e-Quest energy modeling software and best use applications. A question and answer session will follow the presentation.
About the Presenter: Gaurav is a Sustainable Building Analyst with the Stantec Seattle office and has over ten years' experience working with multidisciplinary building design teams. Gaurav has extensive experience in building thermodynamic simulation, which includes energy analysis, natural ventilation analysis, thermal comfort analysis, solar shading and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). His modeling experience ranges from preliminary concept feasibility assessments, design development guidance modeling, and detailed LEED compliance modeling. In addition, he has peer-reviewed numerous energy models internal to Stantec.
With a Master of Science in Building Design concentrating in Energy Performance and Climatic Responsive Architecture, he brings to our clients a thorough understanding of the interactions of building systems with each other and the environment. He is proficient in multiple simulation/modeling tools including eQUEST/DOE2.2, IES/VE (Model IT, SunCast, Apache Sim, MacroFlo, MicroFlo, ApacheHVAC), EE4/DOE2.1, EnergyPro/DOE2.1, CONTAMW, Energy10 and LBNL's WINDOW and THERM.
Gaurav is a LEED Accredited Professional and has completed numerous LEED compliance documentation submittals and is well versed with all the LEED rating systems and ASHRAE Standard 90.1, ASHRAE Standard 62.1, ASHRAE Standard 55, Washington State/Seattle Energy Code, California Title 24, Oregon State Energy Code and Model National Energy Code for Buildings in Canada. Additionally, he has worked in the past as a third party LEED reviewer for the Green Building Council Institute (GBCI).
