The WIZ
Everyone knows the exciting story of Dorothy and Totos imaginary trip to Oz, where they meet the Scarecrow, the Lion, the TinMan, and they follow the yellow brick road. Well, in this land of Oz, Dorothy and her friends ease on down the road and encounter some bad dudes on their way to meet The Wiz.
Come enjoy one of the most popular African-American musicals of all time. The Wiz ran for four years on Broadway and over 1600 performances. It was a breakthrough for Broadway, a large-scale big-budget musical featuring an all-black cast. It laid the foundation for later African-American hits like Bubbling Brown Sugar, Dreamgirls and Duke Ellington's Sophisticated Ladies.
Our stage version will have you laughing, dancing and singing all the songs you love.
