Getting Luckier w/ special guests Thunder Kittens and friends!
Stand up comedian/performance artist Lucky DeLuxe (Susanna Lee), returns to St. Louis at The Way Out Club on Friday January 31st bringing her newest one-woman show, "Getting Lucky 2: Getting Luckier, Another Stand-Up Show From A Lay-Down Lady" for one night only!
"Getting Luckier" incorporates stand up comedy, storytelling, audience participation, and burlesque performance into one seamless show. Lucky DeLuxe (Susanna Lee) has been lauded for her original material, which is always personal, uncensored and charmingly honest. This sequel to her celebrated solo show, "Getting Lucky" encompasses explorations of her experiences, including life as a performer, working in the sex industry, identity, transitions, and self-acceptance.
Lucky DeLuxe (Susanna Lee) has been seen and heard on: Last Comic Standing, Beverly Hills Brides, Girls Behaving Badly, America's Court, and Sirius XM / Rawdogs Comedy Channel. She has performed in the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Ventura Comedy Festival, Chicago Comedy Festival, New York Burlesque Festival, New Orleans Burlesque Festival, Southern Fried Burlesque Fest, Kansas City Burlesque Festival, Colorado Burlesque Festival, and the Show Me Burlesque Festival, in addition to her regular touring schedule. Lucky DeLuxe was a headlining performer in the 2013 New Zealand Burlesque Festival.
Opening the show are burlesque performances from local entertainers sure to get your funny bone (and other places) warmed up! Thunder Kittens' own Rayna Skye, Cynder Ella, Kat Shenanigans and Cattiva Gattina are joined by Blyre Cpanx, Vera Valentinaa, Craig Mayhem, SinDee Hoo Hoo, Xander Lovecraft and Cheery Blossom!
