Works In Progress '13
On Ensemble takes the ancient instruments of taiko (Japanese drums) into new realms. We are dedicated to making great music and exploring the artistic possibilities of the taiko and fue (Japanese bamboo flute). Our Works In Progress concert series is the foundation of our creativity. It provides us the space to be try new ideas, develop new pieces and new arrangements. This year's Works In Progress concerts are especially important as we will be introducing On Ensemble's two newest members; Abe Lagrimas Jr. and Eien Hunter-Ishikawa. We have been performing more and more with Abe and Eien recently and are very excited about what they will bring to On Ensemble.
