Empowerment Express
Take a ride on the rails to support the Advocates of Lake County!

Advocates of Lake County is a nonprofit organization that assists any victim of domestic violence, sexual assault, crime, or violence. We work for positive social change, seeking to promote a safe and healthy community.

Join us the evening of Friday, August 6, 2021 on the Leadville, Colorado & Southern Railroad for a fun evening of awareness, fundraising, and beautiful vistas! Meet our team and learn more about the fascinating and important work we do. Enjoy a delicious dinner and our adult guests will enjoy two (2) drink vouchers per ticket. Children are also welcome in the "Kids' Caboose" with complementary child supervision, a meal, and a Lil' Conductor's Goody Bag!

Dinner will be served from the generous partnership of local businesses. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options are available upon request. If you have dietary restrictions, please contact us or purchase your tickets by July 30, 2021.

A silent auction will take place during the train ride, with donations from Arapahoe Basin Ski Area, Tennessee Pass Cookhouse, Freight, and more!

There are 8 tickets available for a special ride in the engine compartment. 4 tickets for the ride up the mountain and 4 tickets for the ride back. This includes your meal and drink coupons just like the standard fare. These tickets are first come, first served.

The train leaves promptly at 6:00 p.m. The railroad winds through the San Isabel National Forest and Arkansas River Valley for a little over an hour, at which point passengers get the opportunity to disembark, enjoy the scenic surroundings, and learn about the essential work that the Advocates of Lake County do for the community. The train returns along the same path to the depot in Leadville.

If you would like to pay for your tickets by check, please call Amanda at (719) 917-8599 or approach an ALC employee after Community Coffee each Wednesday until August 4th.

By purchasing this ticket you consent to have your photo taken and used in future promotions unless otherwise specified. If you would like to opt out of having your photo taken, or with any additional questions, please contact Amanda at amanda@advocatesoflakecounty.org or call (719) 917-8599.
