Camp Gratitude--A Cornucopia of Creativity!

Musicollaborative's "Camp Gratitude" is an opportunity for children ages 7-12* to explore joyous music, movement, art and ecological activities in a nurturing, small-group setting 9am-4pm, Monday, November 25th and Tuesday, November 26th. There will be time for self-selection among a variety of music, art and craft centers as well as group music and movement sessions in the morning and afternoon facilitated by a licensed certified music educator. Instruments available for exploration and guided practice include hand percussion, mallet percussion, keyboard and recorder flutes, and repertoire will include a celebration of musical traditions of indigenous peoples of the Americas. Time for outdoor free play will be incorporated into the days' agenda, including an optional hands-on vermicomposting lesson. Purified water and organic healthy snacks will be provided in the morning and afternoon; registrants are asked to pack a lunch. Discounts for 2-day registration or for siblings are available, and information on limited tuition assistance or NOLA Timebank exchange may be requested by emailing info@musicollaborative.org or by calling 504-942-7606 (M-F, 10-6). *5- and 6-year-olds who have participated in previous ImmersionArts or MusicFUNdamentals classes are welcome to register as are siblings (as young as 5) of older registrants.
