4A: Creative Sound Design - Ryan Dann
FilmShop alum Ryan Dann is a seasoned sound recordist and sound designer, specializing in sound effects and score composition. In this nitty-gritty session, he will give an overview of sound design workflow, which includes cleanup of production sound, collecting and modifying sound effects, and editing in ProTools (though these skills will be applicable to other programs as well). He will touch on the boundary between usable and non-usable production audio, and what you can realistically expect from your sound editor.
