Feast of the Meadery
The Guild of Cookery along with SF Mead Company are presenting the Feast of the Meadery! Join us on Monday, November 11th at the SF Mead Co. in San Francisco for a four course feast featuring a whole roast pig. The feast will feature mead pairings by The San Francisco Mead Company, and will be held in their newly constructed meadery.
Mead is a wine made from honey instead of grape juice, and is one of the oldest drinks known to man. The SF Mead Co. has taken the art of mead making to new levels, creating a beautifully refined product deserving of a place alongside the finest wines.
The Guild of Cookery, a group of chefs known for their Game of Thrones themed dinners, is providing the food for this event. A whole roasted pig will be the centerpiece of the meal, which has been crafted specifically to pair with the various meads produced by the SF Mead Co. The foods we've created pair beautifully with mead, so we're excited to combine the chef's passion with the meadmaker's craft. In keeping with the Medieval tradition, the Guild has designed a menu featuring authentic 15th century recipes.
Guests should arrive at 6:00 for appetizers and a glass of mead. This will be a great opportunity to chat with the mead makers and chefs and tour the premises. Dinner begins at 6:30.
Each course will be accompanied by a different mead!
Tickets will be available through pre-sale only. No tickets will be available at the door.
The ticket price includes tax and gratuity, dinner and mead pairing. Bottles will be available for sale at the Meadery.
Due to the family style service, we will not be able to accommodate dietary restrictions.
