meze brunch
The Old Bowery Station, an abandoned subway station on the corner of Bowery and Kenmare, is currently hosting two pop-ups in its space, Manousheh NYC and Blue Bottle Coffee. Sarah Ashley, a resident chef at the space, is popping up for the weekend with both of them for two days of food, wine, and fun.
"Meze" is a selection of small dishes served in the Middle East as breakfast, lunch or dinner, and it is the inspiration behind this brunch.
your $40 ticket gets you ... --> two glasses of lebanese wine + a place to sit --> manousheh, a traditional lebanese flatbread with assorted toppings like labneh (yogurt), za'atar, vegetables and more --> a meze spread for the table with more delicious toppings to enjoy with your flatbread like charred eggplant spread and shakshuka, a north african dish of eggs baked in spicy tomato sauce --> cardamom biscotti + your favorite order from blue bottle coffee ... plus $30 bottles of wine all day!
