Saints and Sinners: an Organ Recital
The inaugural concert featuring the Estey Opus 1429 organ in the Clatsop Community College Performing Arts Center. The recital includes: Jason Neumann-Grable who completed the repair work over the past year; Christopher Wicks, composer and organist from Silverton OR; and Paul Tegels, Associate Professor of Music at Pacific Lutheran University, Tacoma WA.
The Mighty Estes was built in 1916 for the Dr. John Sellwood home in Portland. It was rebuilt, moved and installed in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Astoria in 1936. This building became the Clatsop Community College Performing Arts Center in 1975.
The Estey Opus 1429 will resound again following a year of extensive repairs. Join us for this inspiring event.
Concert proceeds will benefit the CCC Foundation Scholarship Fund and the Save the PAC Fund.
