EL PUNTO CUBANO, LA INDIANA & LA ZARZUELA
Three unique entertainment events reflecting the enduring cultural ties between Cuba and Spain:
On December 1, two of the most thrilling musical entertainers--Cuba's Yuniel Jiménez, and Yeray Rodríguez, from the Canary Islands--join forces in an evening of punto cubano and son.
On December 13, Saida Santana stars live from Madrid in the world premiere of the play 'La Indiana,' a story that captures a pivotal time during the Canarian migration to Cuba at the beginning of the last century. Followed by a Q&A with Ms. Santana.
On December 18, live from Mexico, soprano Virginia Herrera-Crilly and tenor César Delgado star in a recital of legendary arias from Spanish and Cuban zarzuelas.
