Event
2013 Psychology for the Other Seminar
Once again, we have an exciting schedule of presentations and are looking forward to great conversations and sharing our work and ideas together. We are very pleased to have Prof. Leswin Laubscher, Ph.D. (Chair of the Duquesne University Psychology Department) as our keynote speaker, as he has written and worked as a principal researcher with the Apartheid Archive Project in South Africa, an expansive international study that seeks to archive and analyze memories of Apartheid experiences. Dr. Laubscher explores how the priority of witness and testimony in research and practice calls us to reframe conventional understanding of generalized and totalizing knowledge.
Please join us for the whole weekend but also for Friday afternoon and evening to hear Dr. Laubscher discuss his work with the Apartheid Archive Project and to have pizza and wine while Dr. Kunz shares his overview of Levinas 101.
We are pleased to offer Continuing Education Credits (Ethics credits qualifying for credentialing for mental health professionals) for this event.
