5th Annual Edison Park Comedy Fest (10/19)
Chicago, IL October 17th-19th 2013 - Yes I Am Show Business in conjunction with the Edison Park Chamber of Commerce is proud to present the fifth annual Edison Park Comedy Festival beginning Thursday October 17th and running through Saturday the 19th. The fest will feature some of the funniest stand-up comedians in the country who will be performing at three venues in Edison Park. Each show will consist of a different line-up hand picked from some of the nations best!
The fest is set to kick off at Firewater Saloon (6689 N. Oliphant Ave) on Thursday the 17th at 8pm where the festival's producers Joe Kilgallon & Tony Valle host their favorite Chicago comics!
Friday night the comedy moves around the corner to Edison Park Inn (6715 N. Olmsted, Chicago) at 8pm where Diaz Mackie (Las Vegas) headlines a solid line-up. The son of a hustling father and a preaching mother, this young man was poised to leave his mark. Growing up in Michigan during the mid-80's & 90's has shaped & molded a comedic star on the rise and has given his comedy a fresh and upbeat rhythm. Diaz Mackie "The Golden Child" in just a short time has made two TV appearances "Audacity Ent." shown on UPN and "Smooth Vegas Nights" show on Vegas TV as well was a finalist in season two's Def Comedy Jam auditions.
From there the festival the fest heads around the corner to The Emerald Isle (6686 N. Northwest Hwy) on the 19th . The show will star neighborhood favorite Joe Kilgallon, a member of the "Comedian's You Should Know" and is a regular at the Chicago Improv. Joe has also performed in the TBS Just for Laughs Festival and has appeared on NBC Sports.
The showroom doors will open a half our before showtime and all 3 venues include a full bar and kitchen. Show's will run ON-TIME so please be prompt!
