Black Mens Movie Night--The Banker
The Banker is a 2020 American drama film directed, co-written, and produced by George Nolfi. The film stars Anthony Mackie, Nicholas Hoult, Nia Long, Jessie T. Usher, and Samuel L. Jackson. The story follows Joe Morris (Jackson) and Bernard S. Garrett Sr. (Mackie), two of the first African-American bankers in the United States.

1954, Bernard Garrett wants to get into real estate but encounters racism that prevents him from being a successful real estate investor. After a chance encounter with wealthy club owner Joe Morris, he convinces Joe to be his co-investor.

On July 25, 2020, at 4 pm PST and 7 pm EST We will watch the movie The Banker and discuss economics as an element you believe are necessary to bring about the mental revolution of the Black/African mind? Additionally, we will continue to have a conversation about Black Manhood. The purpose of Black Mens Movie Night is to continue a discussion about Black Manhood. With the need for mental revolution, Black Men must take time for a critical examination of ourselves, how we show up, where our ideas of Manhood came from, and how it developed.
