Carols by Candlelight
Carols by Candlelight is a carol service being held on 9th December 2013 to raise funds and awareness for a Campaign within Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity (GOSH) called Face Value. As a fund-raising event Carols by Candlelight will bring together organisations and individuals to help make a meaningful difference to GOSH.
The event will commence at 7.15pm at Christ Church, Victoria Road, London, W8. There will be carol singing, celebrity readers and wonderful festive carols from our choir.

GREAT ORMOND STREET HOSITAL CHILDREN'S CHARITY (GOSH)
Great Ormond Street Hospital provides inspirational and world-class care to hundreds of children every day. But they need to raise over £50 million every year to help give hope to very sick children and their families.
Throughout its long history, Great Ormond Street Hospital has always relied on public support, even after the founding of the NHS in 1948. Their mission as a charity is to raise money to enable the hospital to continue to provide the very best care for its young patients and their families.
FACE VALUE
Face Value Campaign supports the craniofacial surgery research of Owase Jeelani and David Dunaway based at GOSH. The team have an ambitious five-year plan to revolutionise surgery for children with craniosynostosis.
Research and development will focus on:
Developing pioneering new, and less cumbersome, devices (distractors) to surgically move the skull and face. Improving understanding of the anatomical problems of children with craniosynostosis to enable precise computer simulations to plan a child's surgery. Improving the accuracy and safety of craniofacial surgery by investing in high-end equipment and new endoscopic systems.
