Janina Fialkowska Special offer to University of Lethbridge Students
Hailed as one of the Grandes Dames of piano playing by Frankfurter Allgemeine and beloved for her exquisite playing, Fialkowska has enchanted audiences and critics around the world with her musical integrity and refreshing natural approach. The great Arthur Rubinstein called Fialkowska a born Chopin interpreter following her prize-winning performance at his inaugural Master Piano Competition. Trained in Montreal, Paris and at New Yorks Juilliard, Fialkowska has been named an Officer of the Order of Canada, received three honorary doctorates and won the Governor Generals 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award in Classical Music for her accomplishments. Fialkowskas album Chopin Recital 3, released by ATMA Classique, received the 2018 JUNO award for Classical Album of the Year. The lyrical program of Fialkowskas Sounds and Perfumes matinée features French themes along with her iconic performance of Chopin.
