Irish Whiskey School
Faith and Begorra! While ancient Greeks, Romans and Arabs all distilled fermented beverages into hard alcohol, it wasn't until the practice of distallation reached the British isles- Ireland and Scotland in particular- that fermented grains (i.e. beer) began to be distilled.
At first the provence of monks, and used chiefly for "medicinal" purposes, production of the spirit known as uisce beatha in Old Irish soon became widespread across the British Islands.
Join us on Friday, March 13 for an abbreviated look at the long, long history of Irish whiskey. We'll sample various types of whiskey currently in production, and see how they compare to their close cousins Scotch and Bourbon!
Tickets for the event are $10.00 each, but you'll be given a voucher good for $10.00 towards any purchase made in the store that evening. There is a limt of 30 seats available for the tasting, and these sorts of events fill up fast, so don't delay!
