B.Title: "Clear Aligner Orthodontic Therapy and the Multidisciplinary Adult Patient - Enhancing restorative and cosmetic options through collaborative care"

Description:
From its humble beginning as a rudimentary and limited tooth alignment appliance, Invisalign clear aligner therapy has evolved and developed into a fully functional orthodontic force system capable of correcting the entire range of orthodontic problems and discrepancies.  In addition, Invisalign opens new opportunities for collaborative correction of a multitude of restorative problems  from the simple to the complex  many of which would be very difficult (if not impossible) to correct with conventional braces.  Coupled with a new generation of accelerated tooth movement modalities, clear aligner therapy is helping to redefine what is possible for our patients - this is not your fathers orthodontics!  This lecture will focus on these advancements, with an emphasis on the pivotal role Invisalign can play in helping to achieve dramatically enhanced restorative outcomes.   Representative clinical cases will be presented to demonstrate these principles.

C.Educational Objectives:

Identify key differences between clear aligner therapy and conventional fixed orthodontic appliances
