The Sarah Rose Lazarus Family Concert
Since its founding in February 1980, when the Klezmer Conservatory Band gave its first concert in Brown Hall at Boston's New England Conservatory, the ensemble--under the direction of founder Hankus Netsky--has been at the forefront of the klezmer revival and renaissance. The group has also served as an incubator for the careers of a number of stars of Yiddish and klezmer music, including Frank London, Don Byron, Jeff Warschauer, and Deborah Strauss. With a current lineup of band veterans mixed with more recent additions, the KCB will offer a trip down memory lane, with songs from all aspects of the groups amazing career. _____________________________________________________________
