The Vagina Monologues is a production collaboration of women's personal accounts of their experiences with their vaginas. These accounts range from funny to sad, young women to old women. First performed in 1996 by Eve Ensler, the feminist and visionary behind the project. Over 25 years later it is being performed in countires and languages around the world in order to raise awareness of women's empowerment.
