FEATURING JULIO LEMOS: Currently working on his doctorate in San Francisco, Brazilian guitarist JULIO LEMOS is a music professor at Universidade Federal de Goiás. He has studied with renowned musicians such as Guinga, Marcos Tardelli, Marco Pereira, Alencar 7 Cordas, Rogério Caetano, Nelson Faria, Henrique Pinto and Paulo Belinatti, and has performed in Brazil, Portugal, Spain, French, Germany, the U.S. and China. His repertoire ranges the works of composers such as Villa Lobos, Radames Ganattali, Garoto, Guinga, Baden Powell, Astor Piazzolla, Marco Pereira and his own songs, including Brazilian choro, samba, bossa nova, and more.

This year San Diego based group CAJUÍNA brings high energy dance music of Brazilian cowboys known as Forró, featuring STEFANIE SCHMITZ sax/clarinet, KENNY BEAUMONT guitar/voice, EMI CARA percussion, and JP HEWETT drums.
Returning to the Festa are award winning DANNY GREEN TRIO including composer/pianist DANNY GREEN, JUSTIN GRINNELL bass, and JULIEN CANTELM drums, and Festa producer and vocalist ALLISON ADAMS TUCKER who will celebrate the 75th birthday of Brazilian vocal legend Elis Regina with a tribute to her works and collaborations.
