Following Their Lead: Expanding Your Child's World through Play
The California Autism Center & Learning Group hosts their next parent training - centered around the benefits of play!
This seminar will cover the importance of learning through play and play goals specific to children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Presenter Jillian Yelinek, BCBA and Case Manager along with Kerstyn Daleth, RBT and Training Team Manager, will discuss the unique learning styles of children with autism and how to create a learning environment that supports their growth.
This event is FREE but please RSVP, space is very limited.

We apologize, childcare will not be provided for this event. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided, but feel free to bring your own dinner to enjoy during the presentation as well.
Doors open at 5:45pm. Seminar starts promptly at 6:00pm and will last about an hour. Plenty of parking available.

SPEAKER BIOS:
Jillian Yelinek is a Case Manager and Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She received her bachelors degree in Psychology at University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA, where she participated in both a child development and behavior analysis research lab. While at Pacific, Jillian received the summer undergraduate research fellowship and conducted a study investigating the relationship between preschool childrens emotional behaviors and teachers emotion coaching in the classroom. The results of this project were presented at the International Congress of Infant Studies and published in the Journal of Early Child Development and Care in Summer 2017. After graduation, Jillians research interests took her to Miami, FL where she was accepted for an internship as a behavior intervention counselor in the summer treatment program at Florida International University. She eventually moved back to her hometown of Fresno and landed at California Autism Center. In August 2019, Jillian received her masters degree in curriculum and instruction from Arizona State University and became a certified BCBA in December 2019. Jillian is committed to creating a fun learning environment for her clients and their families and believes the best therapy includes silly pretend play, lots of laughter and maybe a few cookies.
Kerstyn Daleth is a Registered Behavior Technician and is currently pursuing certification as a Behavior Analyst. Kerstyn grew up in Turlock and moved to Fresno in 2011 to attend California State University, Fresno where she earned her B.S. in Child Development. After spending 3 years as an instructional assistant in an Early Intensive Autism Program for a local elementary school, she decided to pursue higher education in ABA. She earned her M.A. in Special Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis. Kerstyn started working for California Autism Center in 2016 and has been promoted multiple times, now serving at the Training Team Manager. She is dedicated to teaching new employees about Applied Behavior Analysis, so they can make a difference in the lives of their clients.
