Come play with Tony Award winning rhythm master Maurice Hines, in an intimate one-on-one conversation.

The desire to play is a universal trait throughout all cultures. Play is curiosity and imagination put into action. It is a gateway to learning through exploration and familiarization. On the TanzPLAYGROUND, people are warmly invited to participate in the process and organizing of readings, talks and immersive forms. In doing so, they will experience the realm of artwork as a world of play.

The mission of Tanz Farm is to provide a home for artists to show their own positions, and to inspire direct interactions with the city of Atlanta. By creating rich, meaningful experiences for our audiences through a platform for multi-layered actions, discussions, and networking in the field of contemporary performance , The Farm's largest active space, Goodson Yard, will be a place for contemporary performance that is vital to social and cultural life in Atlanta.

About our series III artist:

Maurice Hines is a creator and choreographer, star of stage, screen and television who has had a storied career including performing on Broadway, acting in feature films, co-creating a dance company & creating, directing and choreographing several musicals.
