SLAMJUNK Presents: Elevator Party | GENTLR | DIA LUNA
Elevator Party is a Punk-Funk band founded by multi-instrumentalist Eric Biondo who is best know for his trumpet playing in the Afrobeat Band, Antibalas, trumpet playing/recording with The Monkees, TV on the Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Father John Misty, Passion Pit, El-p, The Rubens, Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats and most recently with Elle King on The Colbert Report.
GENTLR is an experimental electronic jazz trio from Brooklyn. John Niccoli started GENTLR as purely an electronic project in 2018. After creating hours of eurorack and drum machine beats, Niccoli realized the sound he was after required the addition of organic instruments. Bassist Walter Stinson and saxophonist Kevin Sun joined Niccoli in the studio and quickly vibed with the compositions. They laid down the tracks that would become their debut album, Gold Cake. The album was released on vinyl on Sept. 20 2019. GENTLR is currently booking shows in Brooklyn and looking forward to touring in 2020.
DIA LUNA ( Andrea Diaz ) lives in a railroad apartment in Brooklyn full of books, trinkets, and altars. She rides a silver bicycle, and shes awaiting her newest adventure.
