Saideh & Khatch: An Evening of Contemplative Music
Please note: Online ticket sales have ended, though there are tickets available at the door. The show will start at 4pm promptly. Please arrive early to purchase tickets at the door!
Saideh and Khatch are a duo of vocalists and multi-instrumentalists who honor their cultural roots spanning the Armenian, Arabic and Persian traditions. Their unique blend of music is grounded in sacred/contemplative and sound healing genres. By fusing their evocative voices with strings, woodwinds, percussion, and electronica, they imbue tone color and vivid emotion to the sonic journey space created for audience members, who often leave performances feeling calmer and more centered.
The duo will share pieces from their latest Persian & Armenian fusion album, Delbedel (Soul-to-Soul), while also offering new improvisational and contemplative tunes inspired by Persian, Armenian, and Arabic traditions.
Saideh Eftekhari is a multi-instrumentalist (violin, setar, voice), teaching artist and sound healing practitioner based in San Francisco. Her work is inspired by the years she spent studying and living in the Middle East, Latin America and Europe. She is trained in classical violin as well as the Persian setar and holds a certification in Sound Healing from the California Institute of Integral Studies. https://www.saidehsound.com/
