The James Beard Public Market "First to Market" Celebration
On Friday, September 27th, the James Beard Public Market will present a festive preview of the bountiful public market that a few short years from now will fill three blocks at the west end of the Morrison Bridge.

With the help of our co-host Multnomah County, we'll cover the site with a big-top tent and throw a memorable party with regional wines, microbrews, and an array of tasty bites. Everyone is welcome, from long-time supporters to anyone interested in learning more about this exciting community-led effort to give Portland a daily, year-round, indoor-outdoor permanent public market on the waterfront.
Join us, along with honored guests Portland Mayor Charlie Hales and Multnomah County Commissioners, as we put a stake in the ground to celebrate the James Beard Public Market's move from vision to reality.
Prior to the main event, a VIP reception will be held at Hotel Rose (formerly Hotel Fifty) with honored guests and market enthusiasts Mayor Charlie Hales and Congressman Earl Blumenauer. 50 SW Morrison, just across the street to the South of the Morrison Bridgehead event site.
