Sonoko Sakai Book Release Dinner
Join us on Tuesday, December 17, for a very special dinner collaboration of Tsubaki chef Charles Namba, cookbook author and Japanese cooking teacher Sonoko Sakai, and n/naka pastry chef Gemma Matsuyama.
The six-course meal will feature Sonoko's own handmade soba and Japanese curry roux, as well as dishes inspired by recipes from her new cookbook, Japanese Home Cooking. A classic Japanese dessert and some traditional wagashi from Gemma Matsuyama of n/naka will close out the meal.
All attendees will receive a copy of Sonoko's book, as well as one of her own homemade curry bricks! And of course she and Gemma will be available to chat all things Japanese cuisine and share stories and knowledge.
Sake, beer, wine, and soft drinks will be available a la carte. Doors open at 7pm, and the dinner will begin promptly at 7:30. If you have any dietary restrictions, please reach out to us at hello@tsubakila.com before purchasing tickets.
