Black Bear Initiative Informational Meeting
Black bears have moved into the Mayacamas full time. Sonoma Ecology Center and Team Sugarloaf invite Sugarloaf neighbors and Kenwood residents for an informational meeting with Meghan Walla-Murphy from the North Bay Bear Collaborative. Meghan will present her research and answer your questions about living with these powerful and majestic creatures. How many are here? How can we keep them in the wild and in our Valley? She will also share resources on protecting crops, honey, livestock, compost, and garbage from the bears. The meeting will be at the Robert Ferguson Observatory in Sugarloaf Ridge State Park (2605 Adobe Canyon Road, Kenwood, CA 95452).
