Crimes of the Heart
Beth Henley's Crimes of the Heart is the story of three sisters whose lives are steeped in tragedy, but somehow permeate joy. The MaGrath sisters are all brought together again when Babe, the youngest of the three, shoots her husband in the stomach. When she is asked her reasoning she says, she didnt like his looks. This is a play of opposites; the wise suffer from ignorance, the young submit unknown knowledge. You will laugh at tragedy and find wisdom in humor. And the best part of it all? It all takes place in the heart of Mississippi.
