Zili Misik
Zili retraces routes of forced exile and cultural resistance through diasporic rhythm and song. With captivating sounds that evoke the African continent, Zili reconnects Haitian mizik rasin, Jamaican roots reggae, Afro-Brazilian samba, Afro-Cuban son, and African American spirituals, blues, jazz, R&B and neo soul. Powerful Haitian, Brazilian and West African rhythms infuse Zili's performances of traditional folksongs and dances, and original creations.
The finest folk, roots and world music in an intimate 200 seat listening room. Doors open at 7 pm to the "Folk Tailgate Party." Don't forget your picnic basket!
