Idaho Decompression 2013

Decompression, also called Decomp, is a 3 day community event for decompressing purposes as we settle back into the default world after attending Burning Man. Hey, it's hard not seeing furry leggings and giant random art cars flitting around the city.

This is a WEEKEND TENT CAMPING EVENT. Bring everything you need to survive a weekend. Radical self reliance. Plan accordingly. We leave no trace, we respect others, and we cause no harm.

You MUST have a ticket to attend this event, and ticket sales are limited. You may purchase tickets here online or locally at Subspace. And while you are at Subspace, be sure to pick up something fabulous to wear for the event.

Subspace is located at 556 S. Vista Avenue

YOU MUST HAVE AN ID AT THE GATE - kids are welcomed - 12 and under are free

21+ to drink, 18+ to enter without a parent or guardian.

Anyone under 18 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED by a parent or guardian, no exceptions - we will require proof of relationship in the way of a birth certificate or guardianship papers.

PRESALES ONLY!!!!! No tickets will be sold at the gate. Participants without proper ID and tickets that arrive will be turned away. Sorry folks, but we have limited numbers of volunteers to make this happen. Only 450 tickets are available to this years event.

With the purchase of your ticket, you voluntarily assume the risk of property loss or damage, personal or bodily injury, serious injury or death by attending Idaho Decompression 2012 and forever release, discharge and shall hold Idaho Burners LLC and its affiliates harmless from any claims arising from any such risk, even if caused by the negligent act, error or omission of Idaho Burners LLC or its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agent, volunteers or representatives.

Tickets are non-refundable even if the Event is terminated early or canceled due to harsh weather, acts of nature, governmental regulation, or other conditions beyond Idaho Burners LLC control. The Ticket is a revocable license that may be refused by Idaho Burners LLC for any reason.

You must wear your wristband at all times. If your wristband comes off you need to present it to security right away to get a new one or you will be asked to pay again. Please challenge anyone NOT wearing their wristband. And keep your ticket stub in case you lose your wristband. It will be pretty hard to keep you at the event if you can't seem to find either and claim you really did have a ticket and wristband.

Guess what happens if we catch you not wearing your wristband and without proof of purchase? Yes, that's right...we eat you. Ok, so we didn't buy enough steak sauce for that to work, but we WILL force you to buy a $100 ticket to stay. Yes, that's right, we're going to make you pay a lot for not following rather simple instructions. Fifty bucks if you don't have it on you at all times.

We plainly state our intention to minimize those sneaking into deCOMPression. Be prepared to "pop the trunk" so we can eyeball all passengers in your rig. We will search vehicles. If you are caught trying to sneak a human OR a dog in, just like at Burning Man, you may be asked to leave the event. Cuz let's face it, that's pretty much stealing from a non-profit event that needs the funds to pay for the infrastructure, permits, and insurance.

Decomp starts at 10am on Friday and ends at 12pm (Noon) on Sunday. If you show up prior to this event, you may be put in purgatory. If you linger, we will be very grouchy since we can't leave until you do and we have lives outside of volunteering. Please respect that.

This is a non-profiting event held by burners for burners whether or not they've been to Burning Man. Ticket sales cover the cost of throwing the event. Any proceeds left over will be contributed to the Black Rock Arts Foundation as well as to our local artists.

What do you want to see at Decompression??? Bring it. Do it. Live it.

This event is what you make it!  Theme camps, sound camps and major art projects are welcome to register for primo spots in the layout of our town. The rules that apply at Burning Man apply to all Idaho Regional Burning Man events and always have. Read and live the Burning Man rules and the Ten Principles at www.burningman.com
