Workshop with Rich Talarico: THE WRITER'S ROOM (SF Improv Festival 2013)
In this one day workshop, sketch comedy and late night TV writer Rich Talarico will take you through some helpful exercises for the brainstorming and pitching processes in sketch comedy. Learn to take your ideas from first spark of conception to an undeniable pitch.
A writer must be open to new ideas all the time. It can get overwhelming but this class will help you create a system for capturing and developing your comedy ideas.
We'll also focus on how to contribute in the writer's room/group writing environment.
Rich is a 20 year comedy vet who's worked for Second City Chicago, IO, IO WEST, THE PIT, UCB, was also a writer for SNL, MAD tv, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, HBO's The Sketch Pad and currently Key & Peele on Comedy Central. Visit www.richtalarico.com for more info.
